Recycling is always the FIRST CHOICE. We encourage everyone
to recycle.
The BioGreen BottlesTM are fully recyclable. They can be
recycled in the normal recycle stream right alongside all of the
other LDPE plastic items. They carry the recycle symbol #4.
When looking for a "green" bottle, recycleability was a must for
us. That immediately eliminated the corn based plastics. Recycling
is very important for us and the world. We encourage
everyone to recycle.
However the sad truth is that surveys show that approximately
95% of plastic products are sill thrown into landfills and dumps.
That is why we developed a bottle that will be environmentally
friendly (biodegradable) even if the people using it fail to
recycle.
This enhanced plastic that biodegrades in a normal landfill as
well as commercial composting facilities is the most environmentally
responsible product we can make.
